SKABOOK 2012

One of our regular and local team photographers Kevin D. Harvey had a book published by Blurb in 2012 to record Skabour 2012 in photos. Kevin says “The Folkestone Skabour Festival was not only a great event but also gave me the opportunity to put my local band live music photography experience to good use. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and this book is a result.
I invite you to preview the book. This allows you a fifteen page preview of the contents and hopefully if you are suitably impressed, Please click on the link beneath the image and this will take you to the publishers website”.

LINE UP ANNOUNCEMENT

Sadly, for personal reason, Susan Cadogan has had to cancel for this year, however we are really pleased to announce she will be replaced by Dawn Penn & her band, who have stepped in at very short notice.

Due to Covid, resulting in a new line up, Skatuesques have also cancelled, but we have replaced them with Prone 2 Madness

SKABOUR 2021… THANKFULLY WE ARE BACK!

It is without doubt been a terrible time in recent history for the world with the Coronavirus Pandemic outbreak over the last year. So many hospital cases and deaths. We are truly thankful for all doctors, nurses and staff of the NHS on the frontline for being, helping, saving and trying to save those affected of this awful contagious virus.
The lockdowns and disruption to business and normal life has affected all of us. But now with the discovery of vaccines it has given all of us hope to return to some kind of normality. We therefore welcome our Skabour family, guests, bands, artistes, security and sound crew and all to Skabour 2021. Those bands that were scheduled to appear last year until the postponement had all agreed to perform this year (there has since been a few changes – see above).
Your safety is paramount to us and to the Grand Burstin Hotel. We are working closely with the Management and Government guidelines to make this Skabour as safe as possible. There might be restrictions what we can and cannot do but we will keep all informed as details are received. If we all abide by the rules then we will be fine and OK, but do not under estimate Covid-19… like a shark in the water in could strike any of us at any time.

Play and be safe.

Wear a mask inside the hotel and please keep to the required social distancing and with common sense.

Be kind to all.
